Latest creation

I made this card yesterday for my Mum's birthday as she was 84 yesterday.

I chose the colours because black and yellow are best for those with sight problems & I wanted to try and be bright and cheerful as she is in hospital & not at all well at the moment.

My card and all those she recieved yesterday bought a smile to her face and they are now blue tacked on the wall in front of her so she can see them all.

I am back!! so run for cover lol

Hi
I'm back from my holiday in France. We had some exellent weather, lots of wine and 'Normandie cidre' and fantastic food. We had mainly a quiet time but from the site we could walk along side Lac Juanay to an Auberge for lunch of gallettes and a few drinks (Tracey thinks all my breaks are spent in places that deliver alcohol of one sort or another !!! lol) We visited a vine yard and tasted some fantastic wines and bought 6 bottles of pink sparkling rose. We also went on the 'Balade en Vélo-Rail à Commequiers' a 10 km trip ride on a bycle that was on an old rail way track from Commequiers to Coex, except when we started and saw the trip markers on the side of the rail it was 10km there and 10km back - luckily we had Sam & Ash with us so we all took turns at peddling!! We had to open level crossings at various points - Joe thought he was 20 again and leapt from the velo and fell cutting his leg quite badly - but no broken bones thankfully. We had a picnic at Coex before our return journey. We had a fanstastic afternoon and never laughed so much!!

Here are a few ...

cards I've made recently for challenges and birthdays. I thought I'd share them with you as not everyone has a blog and not everyone visits mine. And it's good to share as you get a more varied selection of comments.
This chap was for a few challenges I think, but the main one a colour combo of pink and green. An odd combo to put Edwin on but I think it works quite well.

This is one of my fav stamps and I don't use it enough. It takes ages to cut the flutters out but it's worth it. I entered it for a couple of challenges, but it's a test piece really as I wanted to see how it would turn out. There are a few things I would change so watch this space.

Finally my MIL's birthday card. This is another set I adore but don't use enough. Poppies are one of her favourite flowers so I spent an afternoon trying to get the balance right for this card and ruined 3 fronts in the process with various ink pad accidents. But it turned out ok in the end.
Well ta for taking a look and any comments are welcome. See you on Friday at St Michael's.

Happy crafting

Very Quiet

It is very quiet on here so I thought I would add a counter just to see how many people are actually visiting, hope that is okay with you all.

If there are any dabblers that are reading the blog who would like to contribute just shout, that will waken everyone up.

Dont forget, you dont have to post JUST about crafting, it can be anything at all....thats legal.

Friday Night's anticss

Well, not antics really but here are some pictures of us on the night.

Unfortunately, we never actually got round to doing any
embossing.  There was lots of stamping, colouring and cutting going on though.

Diane and Tracey with their Father's Day cards.  I didnt manage to get pictures of all the other cards that were made so, ladies, please post them here when you get chance.

Did everyone get their discount cards?? If not please let me know.

Please feel free to add links on here to your personal blogs as well as your email details.

I look forward to seeing you all at Pam's Stampin Up party next week.
